Windermere Trails is a community in southwestern Windermere Florida. Windermere Trails is a non-gated community containing well over 500 homes including traditional single-family homes and townhomes. In the center of the community is Bay Lake Elementary School.
The first homes were built here in 2012 and construction was mostly completed in 2018 with few exceptions. Meritage Homes was the original builder and the traditional homes began around $350,000 in price. In 2021 the median price for a traditional single-family home here was $500,000. As a side note the largest homes in this neighborhood are 4,936 square feet (approximate).
45 homes in Windermere Trails leased in the previous 12 months (2021). That is a fairly high percentage of homes for a community and a large chunk of the homes which lease in Windermere FL. The proximity to Disney University does make this an ideal location and so do the communities townhomes and smaller single-family homes. The lease prices ranged from $1,890 to $5,8000 the latter being for a 4,500 square foot home.
Amenities here are fairly nice. There is a community pool, dog park and of course a lot of trails. Nearby is the Lakeside Village which contains the Publix shopping center and a lot more. All in all, this is a very nice community, seems to be well maintained and popular with residents.
