Lake Burden in Windermere FL is both a lake and a community. The Lake is a 128 acre private lake just to the north and east of the Lake Burden community. Other communities on this lake are Keenes Pointe and Casa Del Lago both of which are gated and known as luxury home communities. Keene's Pointe has the only boat ramp to the lake.
Lake Burden is a fairly large community with condos, townhomes and traditional single-family homes. There is a large Central Park and numerous sports parks as well as a community pool. Lake Burden is always a pleasure to drive through but beware as one of the exits is for residents only and it is fairly frustrating to back away from if you get caught there.
Directly across the street from Lake Burden is the Lakeside Shopping Center. This is one of my favorite laces in Windermere because it has so much here and nearby. One of the cities rare gas stations is also at the Lakeside Village.
