I lived in this area for quite a while and have many fond memories of it. The many parks and trails are perfect for a jog, ride or cool summer's evening walk. The residents also have access to the local boat ramp on Speer Lake and other attractions. Since Hamlin has neared completion there are even options for the trip to get groceries. It is just hard to find fault with the community of Independence.
