Grande Pines is a fairly small community and no it is not gated. Not many of the communities in this portion of Orlando are. As you drive back in and around Grande Pines you will see several other neighborhoods with similar homes and home sizes. These homes were built between 2005 and 2010 with a few possible exceptions. They are all between 2,000 and 4,400 square feet and in that true FL spirit many have private pools. There is no community pool but there is a central pond with two open areas one of which has a children's playground.
The area is so great you wonder what has taken so ling for the new development. Reams Road takes you by the Lakeside Village, Disney University and ultimately to main roads for longer commuting. Recently development has broken free as you will see as you drive westward on Reams Road.
